LUCKY LEAF

As a kid, I'd carry a pocket-sized notebook with me outside so I could draw flowers, butterflies, and portraits of my pet caterpillar, Tiger. I've since given up on the idea that caterpillars can make good pets, but I'm still very much interested in drawing flowers. That's some of what you'll find here, mixed with many a nod to antiques, books or authors I admire, and items that (hopefully) combine beauty and function.

"Lucky Leaf" is an old moniker for four-leaf clovers. Until 2020, I had found exactly one four-leaf clover in my life, in the backyard of my childhood home. I'd given up the search, so to speak, until my husband challenged me to a four-leaf clover finding duel. The rest, as they say, is history.
